While not every decision is life altering, most decisions made by health care managers can impact the organization’s ability to provide care. In this chapter, the author introduces problem solving and decision making from the role of the health care manager. Chapter 6, “Team Leadership” Various teams function within the health care setting. This chapter examines the characteristics of effective teams and identifies the common reasons for team failure.
